Professional boxing returns to the Northwest next weekend for an action packed seven bout card at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, WA. Local stars: Jeremy McCleary (4-0), Cameron Sevilla-Rivera (4-0, 4 KOs), and Harrison Bevens (2-0, 2 KOs) will all be returning in hopes of keeping their undefeated records intact while continuing to impress the local fight fight crowd in attendance. Also being featured on the card is local UFC star, Dennis “Superman” Hallman, who will be making his highly anticipated professional boxing debut. The main event will be announced early next week.
Tickets for Battle at the Boat 97, scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, WA are on sale and can be purchased at the EQC box office and at all Ticketmaster outlets. Ticket prices start at $25.
Cameron Sevilla-Rivera, 2, burst onto the professional boxing scene at the end of 2013, easily taking care of his opponent in the first round with a TKO victory. Three fights later, Sevilla-Rivera has accumulated an impressive 4-0 record, all by way of 1stround knockout. He’ll look to keep the momentum rolling when he takes on Dave Courchaine in a scheduled four round bout.
One of the area’s most hyped prospects, Jeremy McCleary, is also looking to add another victory to his undefeated 4-0 record. Debuting on the same show as Sevilla-Rivera, McCleary has also rolled through his first four opponents and is coming off a unanimous decision victory in June, sweeping all three judges’ scorecards 40-36.
Well respected MMA fighter and UFC star, Dennis Hallman, will attract a lot of attention next weekend when he steps into the ring to make his professional boxing debut. Hallman accumulated a monsterous 53-15 professional MMA record while reaching stardom after twice defeating Matt Hughes (In a combined 37 seconds). He will take on Frankie Orr in a four round contest.
