The White River High track and field program had a successful outing April 6, with both the Hornet boys and girls placing second at the Bill Harris Invitational in Federal Way.
Leading the way for the White River girls were Carley McCutchen and Alysa Aasheim, each with a trio of top-three finishes. McCutchen won the 300-meter hurdles and placed second in both the 100-meter hurdles and the high jump. Aasheim won the 200-meter dash, was second in the javelin and third in the 100-meter dash.
Other Hornet girls winning events were Lauryn Wate in the 800 meters and Antoinette Scholes in the discus. Finishing third was Sierra Gulla in the shot put.
For the boys, the 1,600-meter relay team of Collin Green, Kramer Green, Mat Dickson and Marcus Dickson topped the field. Marcus Dickson also took first individually in the 1,600 meters.
Placing second were Mat Dickson in the 800 meters, Kody Gould in the 3,200 meters, Kramer Green in the 300-meter hurdles and Evan Mays-Scriven in the pole vault.
Finishing third was Collin Green in the 400 meters.
