Not much, according to a “Straits Times” (Singapore) article by Jeremy Au Yong, entitled, “What Does ‘Make America Great Again’ Mean?” The slogan is vague enough to appeal to people differently, depending on the person and their age. It’s looking like Washington’s new bathroom laws are staying in place, for now.It was announced Initiative 1515, which sought to reverse the laws in this state that allow a transgender individual to use restrooms and other facilities based on their gender identity did not receive enough signatures to get placed on the November ballot.

On July 28 Jonathan Daniel Harris, 30, pleaded guilty to the murder of Enumclaw resident Nicole White. In addition to pleading guilty to second-degree murder, as part of the plea agreement, he also pleaded guilty to second- and third-degree assault.

East Pierce Fire and Rescue responded to four fires during the past week – three in Bonney Lake and a fourth across the Cascade Mountains in Central Washington. The first fire was on Tuesday, July 26, at the 110000 block of 199th Avenue East in Bonney Lake.
