In an effort to keep the state roadways safe during this long holiday weekend of travel, Washington State Patrol (WSP) Troopers made approximately 211 arrests or bookings of impaired drivers over Independence Day weekend.

The friends and family members of 37 individuals who died in Pierce County have one last opportunity to reclaim their remains. The Pierce County Medical Examiner plans to scatter unclaimed ashes on the waters of Puget Sound in August. Ashes being scattered are from individuals who died between 1998 and 2015.

A rainy forecast has washed out work that would have narrowed southbound Interstate 5 to two lanes in SeaTac and Des Moines this weekend. Work on eastbound Interstate 90 across Lake Washington will proceed as scheduled Friday, July 8.
Yesterday Prosecutor Mark Lindquist charged Robert Linwood Hall III, 33, with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, unlawful manufacturing of a control substance, and unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree.

My desire to learn more about the trial of Simpson started with the 10 episode FX show “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” and peaked with ESPN’s 30 for 30 documentary “O.J.: Made in America.”
After an eventful primary presidential election, it appears the presidential candidates have been chosen: Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. I must say that the Democrats choosing Hillary Clinton is very depressing to me. Despite the history that Hillary has provided to voters, Democrats still chose her to represent them in the presidential race.

Boeing B-17 bombers were built for World War II and retired in 1968, never to be flown again. That is until Don Wood, a 92-year-old war veteran was able to take to the skies once again thanks to Boy Scout troop 501 from Lake Tapps, Washington.
