For years, the city of Buckley has hoped to rid itself of the aptly-named “malfunction junction,” the jumbled confluence of two state highways and a pair of busy city roads. Now, it appears a solution is at hand. More importantly, it looks like there’s money available to turn Buckley’s dream to reality.

On April 11 officers were called to trespass a two males from a business. Loss prevention told officers the males were selling cookies in front of the store without permission and were asked repeatedly to leave.
Officers were called April 11 to a report of a stolen vehicle. The reporting party told officers he knew the subject who took the car. According to the reporting party, the male subject approached the driver’s side of the car holding a long-barreled gun.
Officers were called April 9 to a report of a possibly inebriated female getting into her car at a gas station. Officers followed the car and observed the driver was unable to maintain a constant speed and crossed the yellow center line.
Officers observed a male subject on April 9 looking in cars in a parking lot at night. Officers contacted the subject and asked for identification. The subject gave his name but drew a blank on when he was born, but he was waiting for his girlfriend to be done shopping.
On April 7 officers were called to a possible shoplift in progress. Dispatch advised a male was walking toward the exit carrying the stolen merchandise. Officers entered the store and saw the man carrying the merchandise.
On April 7 officers were called to a report of gas stolen out of a truck. The reporting party told officers he filled his truck with gas the night previous, but found the gas gauge showed the tank was half full in the morning.
