They lost their last game of the season by just one point.
Their first game is tonight, Feb. 28, against Port Angeles.
Athletes from Bonney Lake, Enumclaw, and Sumner also competed.
Hornets Erin McGinnes and Chylye Schillen and Panthers Hayley Ryan, Jasmine McQueen, Lara Ceccoli, Serena Chun and Evelyn Hradil recently attended the West Central District 2A/3A tournament.
The tournament begins Feb. 27.
Payton Stroud, one of the top woman wrestlers in the country, came away once again with the championship.
The team is made up from students in the Enumclaw, Buckley, Bonney Lake and Maple Valley areas.
The snow derailed many sporting events, including regional wrestling tournaments.
Dakota Farrer made her second appearance in state, while Morgan Smith made her first trip.
The teams head to regionals this Saturday, and from there, hopefully to state.
Many teams are ready to head into districts and state; the Bonney Lake boys have ended their season, and the Enumclaw girls are qualifying for their district berth on Tuesday, Feb. 5.
The team as a whole missed their opportunity by just six pins.
She won both the uneven bars and balance beam, came second in the floor exercise and finished fifth in the vault.
